Wan 2.2 Animate Animation
Wan 2.2 Animate: Copy motion from a video to animate a character image
Wan 2.2 Animate: Copy motion from a video to animate a character image
Model Overview
Wan 2.2 Animate generates a video by transferring the motion from a reference video to a character image. It supports two modes: animation (generating a video of the character moving) and replacement (replacing the subject in the reference video with the character image).
Best At
Creating smooth, character-driven animations; replacing actors in videos; producing consistent character clips for projects like dubbing, game development, or social media content.
Limitations / Not Good At
Performance may vary with fast or complex motions; audio syncing might be off if scalability is missed; longer videos may require more computational resources.
Ideal Use Cases
- Dubbing/voiceover replacement in videos
- Creating animated mascots or avatars from a single portrait
- Replacing characters in old footage with new ones
Input & Output Format
Input: Character image (image) and reference video (video) at specified Uris
Output: Generated video (video) at a specified URI
Performance Notes
With the go_fast flag enabled, processing can be optimized. Resolution can be controlled (e.g., 720p or 480p). Runs on consumer-grade GPUs for standard resolutions.
